Built On Prevention

Nature's Pest Control

Garden Safe

Trusted By Pete's

How It Works

This is a seasonal subscription that typically runs from April through September, covering the most important months for thrips prevention and healthy plant growth.

A delivery of predatory mites will arrive every 2 weeks on your doorstep.

Once your shipment arrives, you’ll have 48 hours to sprinkle your “good bugs” into your flower beds, pots, hanging baskets, or raised beds.

Each treatment covers approximately 2,000 sq. ft.

Subscription Timing

By default, this subscription runs from April to September unless otherwise specified.

We understand every gardener is a little different — some of you plant early… and some of you wait until after Mother’s Day 😉 — so we can adjust the start and stop timing based on when you plant and when your garden season begins.

What’s Included

With your subscription, you’ll receive:

  • Bi-weekly deliveries of predatory mites (every 2 weeks)
  • Coverage for up to 2,000 sq. ft. per treatment

Why This Works

Why We Trust It

These are the exact same beneficial mites we use in our own shrubyard and greenhouse — and we’ve seen incredible results.

The key isn’t waiting until you see a major infestation.

The key is consistent release, even when you don’t see obvious thrips activity.

Thrips are constantly a threat in gardens because they can be introduced through new plants, soil, seasonal containers, and nearby landscapes. If you wait until the damage shows up, you’re already behind.

That’s why this subscription is built on prevention — releasing beneficial insects on a steady schedule so your garden stays protected all season long.

And the best part: this is easy to replicate in a home garden setting.

Frequently asked questions

What do I receive with my subscription?

You’ll receive bi-weekly deliveries of predatory mites (beneficial insects) that naturally control thrips. Each shipment covers approximately 2,000 sq. ft. and includes access to our online education hub with release tips, videos, and best practices.

How does it work?

Your beneficial bugs arrive every 2 weeks during your garden season (typically April–September). Once they arrive, simply sprinkle them into your flower beds, raised beds, containers, or vegetable garden within 48 hours.

No mixing. No spraying. No harsh chemicals.

What pests does this control?

These beneficial mites target thrips — one of the most common hidden garden pests responsible for buds that won’t open, speckled or silvery leaves, deformed blooms, and stressed vegetables.

Is this safe for pollinators, pets, and my garden ecosystem?

Yes. This program supports natural, chemical-free pest control and helps protect bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and other beneficial insects you want in your garden.

What if I don’t currently see thrips?

That’s actually the goal.

This program is built on prevention. Thrips are often introduced through new plants and surrounding landscapes, and by the time you see damage, you’re already behind. Consistent releases help protect your garden before problems start.

Healthy plants don’t happen by accident —
they happen by prevention.

Join the program and let Pete’s Greenhouse help you protect your garden the natural way, using the same method we trust in our own growing spaces.
